...alone in fukuoka... day 4... con.. 2nd night
jun 19...2nd half... fukuoka asian art museum, kawabata-dori, canal city, con....
fukuoka asian art museum...paintings are awesome..
and i felt doubly proud of our own artists when i saw a whole wall where a large nakpil painting is displayed.cool!off to canal city.. passed through kawabata dori again.. saw this float that is used in yamakasa festival displayed.. nice!
ok. long escalator to canal city hakata.. roamed around a little but what i'm really looking for is the ramen stadium. found it... the place is like street restos at night but it's actually just inside the mall.. lighting effect.. heheh.. the resto where i ate. i asked a girl staff at the front of the above resto re hakata ramen and she directed me to another one beside them which has a long line of customers. theirs doesn't have much customers.. i'm so hungry so i decided to eat at their resto instead. she happily assisted me on how to order.. here's the food stub vendo. here's their famous ramen. so hungry i started eating before i took the picafter that wonderful meal, got the energy to roam around again.. some pics here..
there's a celebrity being interviewed inside the hotel just behind the central water fountain.. don't know who she is, but here, i got some zoomed in pics.. while i was there, i was able to catch the hourly fountain show twice.. nice! the first one has dancing queen as it's music and the second one is a japanese song. i think. here are the vids i got. converted to low res for faster upload..concert night... went in early again.. bought some goods again before entering the gate.
got a new seatmate, a friend of satoshiworld also.. sorry. forgot the correct spelling of your name.. heheh. same ichiban again.. woohoo! and super thanks for the riida au flyer you gave me. i wasn't able to see one in the au shop in karatsu so i'm really happy. i have one now. yahoo! thanks again for everything. you're so nice!
although the seat is a bit far, it's still great coz i get to see the whole stage and i didn't forget my binoculars now.. it's the 2nd day that i get to really enjoy all of the songs..get to really see all of them perform and the ohmiya kiss tops the wonderful con night.. woohoo!
after the con.. some shots.. my gate.. the crowd.. con goods area, still full of people and hawks town..
tried going home via bus, but it's really impossible. waited for a few mins and eventually decided to head for the subway. i have a better chance there. it's great to walk since there are still a lot of people who came from the concert who are also walking towards the subway.. after 15 mins or so, reached the station, but there are still a lot of people going to the same line as i am so i decided to go to meinohama (mrt last stop) instead. opposite their direction. i also wanted to see if i can get a glimpse of marinoa city from the station. it's already closed so i wouldn't try to go there anymore.. unfortunately, i can't see the giant ferris wheel from afar. heheh..anyway, had conversation again with some locals. there was this mother and daughter who were sitting at the bench in the station waiting for the train. photo op. heheh. requested for them to take my pic.. they're so nice.. strange, had some conversation with them. i partly understood some.. we talked, i don't know if they understood what i'm saying and vice versa, but we managed to have a conversation till i reached my station. haha! they are so nice and i gave them some dried mangoes from the philippines that's in my bag at that time.great day again! slept early.. early flight next day.. so happy.. this trip is all worth it! woohoo!!!
