...alone in fukuoka...2nd day...dazaifu
2nd half... dazaifu... sorry for the long post... made it for some of my travel buddies. but everyone is welcome to read...
from karatsu bus station... on my way to tenjin.. had my lunch inside the bus.. my gosh! this bread i bought from a karatsu bread shop costs 140 yen. but it's ok coz it tastes good.. yum!
had some bloopers here but it turned out ok. i was supposed to get off at tenjin station, but when all of the passengers (about 5) got off at a bus station, i thought that was it. unfortunately, it's one station before tenjin.. it's hakata bus station. heheinside dazaifu tenmangu shrine
when i was at the area where there was this water place (i don't know what it's called), there were some students and a guide there. the guide is speaking in english and was explaining on how to use the dipper. i didn't catch what's it for though. so the students imitated her and then took pics of each other. i then wanted to have a pic also so i requested a student near me to take my pic. hehe
anyway, more pics... inside the shrine grounds.
it's not the entrance yet but is just a passage to the main entrance of kyushu national museum. it has long escalators and travelators inside.. awesome! blooper here. i thought the high and long escalators were out of order so i tried going up using the stairs. there were only 2 guards there.. the other guard was going up via the stairs and halfway through the first stairs, he informed me that i can use the escalator.. wahahah!!! it's automatic. my gosh! it'll detect if there's anybody who will use it and it will automatically turn on.. major blunder! there's one here in MOA but i haven't even seen it yet.. i thought it was gonna be another karatzu stairs adventure.. haha! the passage is awesome.. while you're in the travelator, there's lights and music.. and just outside is the kyushu national museum.. cool! and it's much more awesome inside. but no picture taking allowed.. here's one just before i went inside.. by the way, they have this sort of audio player that you can wear wherein there's pre-recorded description of the artifacts or stuffs inside of the museum. there's a no. to press and then just play. there's korean, english, chinese, japanese translation. you just need to select what language you want. and there's also a high definition film showing of how kyushu was found, i think, coz it's in japanese. i still watched it although i can't understand it. anyway, the artworks are great so it's ok.
next stop.. komyozenji temple. unfortunately, i ran out of time. it's past 5 and it's already closed.
anyway, i still went there just to take some pics of the front gate.. and here are some other misc pics i got while on my way there.
roamed around shopping areas after.. saw jun... in a vendo machine..
and was able to buy some cheap souvenirs.. yahoo...good thing i got lost earlier.. i was able to familiarize myself with hakata station. hehei was planning to try the cheap bullet train which is in hakata minami line. unfortunately, it still isn't cheap coz it costs about 290 yen one way only. hehe. maybe next time. when i return.. i'll try shinkansen..
went home instead... full day... woohoo! more to come....sorry... wasn't able to reply to comments today. will do tomorrow...
