sept 26. this is one unforgettable day for a lot of filipinos. we've never imagined such devastation to happen in metro manila and nearby areas. we were not prepared.

and now, typhoon pepeng was expected to land tonight. it's good that preparations were done for those areas that will be hit directly.

we need to be prepared now. we don't want another ondoy devastation.

anyway, i wasn't able to go home that saturday. i went on an errand in the morning and i got stranded. i was really thankful for a friend who took care of us, i was with some friends then. she took us to her home, fed us and even lent a room so that we can sleep comfortably. thank you thank you lian! God bless you!

we weren't able to sleep though. we just spent the night listening to a tiny radio lent to us by our friend and getting more worried.

i was texted by my mother that afternoon that the flood inside our house is already knee deep. i was really worried and wanted to go home but it would really be impossible for me to reach our house without swimming for it. our street has chest deep water. it is waist deep in front of the village's gate and knee deep inside our house. i was just really thankful that the water subsided really fast when the rain stopped early sunday morning and there's not much damage inside our house. my parents were able to bring most of our things to the second floor of our house. though, did a lot of cleaning after.

here's a shot taken by my niece from our 2nd floor window. it was taken at about 4pm that saturday. water level rose until late in the evening.

but this is really nothing compared to what others have experienced. 20ft flood water, people on their roofs waiting to be rescued, rivers overflowing, dead bodies floating..... it was really sad.

hehehe.. i've been very busy but i'm still updated with what's been happening with our boys.. anyway, congrats to all our vox neighbors and friends who got tickets to the kokuritsu and dome cons.. you are all so lucky to witness their 10th anniv celebration. wish all arashi fans can be a part of it but of course, it's impossible. heheh.. thanks for concert dvds at least we can watch it although it's way way after the celebration is over and done with. heheh :D

i'm so excited with aiba-chan's drama.. it's a date every friday then. and nino's drama.. woohoo!

the magazines coming out are love.. gosh! must get...

anyway, got these 2 days ago. yey! time to rip and keep the orig cds safe again.

RNK & Triple Kitchen

but gave in already.. i was checking http://www.sensasian.com for some arashi stuffs a few months ago when i saw an english subbed dvd of triple kitchen. woohoo! haven't seen a file with eng sub for download so i thought of ordering but have no budget then. anyway, got this a month ago along with the rnk dvd. bought it too. it's not japan version so it's way cheaper. but still the packaging and the quality of the dvd is good. i wanted to have an original dvd of the series but can't afford the japanese version so i bought those instead. will be ordering uta no oniisan and door to door next.. yey!

...belated bday celebration with my ASC friends

hehehe.. that is arashi south chapter friends. yup. had a belated birthday celebration. ailamarie , nino *heheh* and i celebrated our belated birthdays with our arashi friends in an authentic thai resto in rockwell. the food was great and very cheap. it's Som's Noodle House at Algier St. along kalayaan. address is 5921 algier st, poblacion makati. it's located just beside rockwell.. the eating area is in an open space in front of a house *i think*. with just plastic chairs and tables and some big umbrellas - parasols. you can get to order from a counter in front of the house. there's a lot of people when we got there so just took pic of the big signage here..

anyway, had a lot of fun. thanks she, jen, mars, meg, chona, ai, *hazel and cathy who dropped by* for the birthday greetings and gifts.. really enjoyed the night.

anyway, back to arashi.. thanks ai for the very special giveaway..i forgot what's it called. heheh..but it's a fish cake or bread.

and i remember this setting. gosh. i was going to take a pic of this area when i was there at the playground but there were lovers sitting in one of the benches there.. i would have sat where riida sat and have my pic taken. heheh!
